If the answer is yes, then learn about Design Thinking! This half-hour learning module will help you to apply design thinking to your lessons, introduce you to many resources, and learn of George Mason University’s efforts to incorporate this problem-solving technique into the curriculum.
Learning Objectives
- Identify on-campus resources and opportunities for incorporating design thinking.
- Evaluate design thinking and its five stages for instruction.
- Apply one strategy per stage.
- Create a lesson plan outline utilizing design thinking.
How to participate
After completing this e-learning module, faculty can earn a certificate of completion. Complete all learning activities including: pre and post-tests; blog responses; and the lesson plan outline. Discuss with your supervisor if this learning opportunity works as professional development. Per the Faculty Handbook section 25.1, local academic units evaluate faculty and set their own criterion.
